These diamond bits were just the ticket. It was tricky using a hand drill because the bit wants to wander and skate around the glazed surface until it gets started but by approaching from an angle and transitioning to vertical it did okay. They would work perfectly with a drill press. Remember to make a small dam of clay around the work site and add a few drops of water.

bought them to drill holes in my ceramic planters that didn't have drainage. worked perfectly. i did start to notice dulling after a few pots, but i guess that is to be expected. Also a little difficult to get the core out of the center if you let it back up too much. did that a few times. just make sure to take the core out each time。

This was my first time core drilling and I was afraid it would bind up but it didn’t. It worked great for my need which was cutting a hole in the wall tile. It can be used without water, dry, or wet drilling.
